Welcome to the Bethel Church, Dronensingel 2 in Bodegraven (Netherlands).

We are a traditional protestant church, similar to presbyterian churches in other countries. In our services we worship the Lord (by singing Psalms), we pray to Him, people offer their gifts for the Lord and we listen to messages from the Bible, as the Word of God.

For example about John 1:29 ‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.’. A summary of our belief can be found here.
On Sundays we hold two services. The morning service always starts at 10.00h. As for the time our second service starts: see agenda. The order of service can be found here (zie hieronder: Order of Service).

You are most welcome to visit our services. We offer simultaneous translations. Please make yourself known to the welcoming team at the entrance, and we will arrange the translation in English for you. Welcome!

What we believe

We believe in one eternal God, in God the Father, Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord and Redeemer and in the Holy Spirit, our Comforter.

We affirm that the Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, which we accept as the only authoritative source for our beliefs and practices as a church. This is why the preaching has a central position in our worship services.

Order of Service

What happens during a church service? When you attend a service for the first time, it's nice to know what to expect in a church service. 
The services in our church usually last about 1.5 hours and typically follow the program outlined below (the Order of Service):
Entrance of the consistory and silent prayer
We silently pray for God's blessing on the service.
